Veneers

Cosmetic Dentistry

Dental veneers are thin, custom-made fittings which are designed to help hide or correct imperfections like stained, mis-shaped or uneven teeth. Veneers are bonded to the surface of the teeth with the help of dental cement to make them appear straighter and whiter. They can often be alternatives to crowns and the ideal solution in treating many dental conditions.

Depending upon the teeth structure and your mouth shape, dentist would choose a precise shade of porcelain to improve the appearance of the teeth. Veneers are durable for a very long time and give you an enhanced smile.

Getting veneers usually requires two visits to complete the process, with little or no anaesthesia required during the procedure. An impression of the teeth is taken and a shade (color) will then be chosen by you and the dentist.

On the second visit the teeth will be cleansed with special liquids to achieve a durable bond. Bonding cement is then placed between the tooth and veneer and a special light beam is used to harden and set the bond. Your dentist will brief you on the care instructions for veneers.
